Supreme Court ‘Draft’ Decision on Roe v. Wade LEAKED – Fingers Quickly Point at Potential Culprit

The U.S. Supreme Court is apparently planning to vote to END Roe v Wade in a DRAFT OPINION by Justice Samuel Alito — leaked to Politico this evening.

The draft opinion was leaked to the press – something that is almost unprecedented.

The Supreme Court is planning to vote to strike down the decision of Roe v. Wade, long considered a vanguard of guaranteeing a right to an abortion in the United States.

The opinion draft – originally obtained by Politico – was written by Justice Samuel Alito, one of the six justices appointed by Republican presidents on the nine-member court, repudiating both Roe and the 1992 Planned Parenthood vs. Casey decision.

‘Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,’ Alito writes. ‘We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,’ he continues in the document, titled ‘Opinion of the Court.’

‘It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.’

Politico noted that this is the first such case in modern history of a Supreme Court draft decision being leaked to the public while the case was still pending.

It is unclear which justice would support such a move, which would typically be released at term’s end — by June.

But the fact that the planned decision was LEAKED — which is considered a criminal act — is almost as big a story as the decision, and it has shocked Court experts.

Influential site SCOTUSblog expressed the sentiment bluntly:

It’s impossible to overstate the earthquake this will cause inside the Court, in terms of the destruction of trust among the Justices and staff. This leak is the gravest, most unforgivable sin.

And it didn’t take long for fingers to point at the most far-left justice on the Court: Sonia Sotomayor.

Just spoke with former Supreme Court clerk. They are horrified.
This is a quote:

"This leak has to come from a clerk or Justice themselves. It is intended to blow up the court. Criminal investigation needs to happen now."

They suggest Sotomayor has most radical leftist staff.

And some time later, a name emerged as the possible leaker.

A person called Amit Jain clerks for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

As a Yale student, Jain blasted Yale for supporting Brett Kavanaugh's nomination.

Jain was quoted in a 2017 Politico piece by Josh Gerstein.

Today, Gerstein published the draft SCOTUS opinion on Roe.

Politico reporter Gerstein of course will not name his source, and has no requirement to do so.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz told Sean Hannity tonight after the news broke that the draft opinion was likely leaked by a liberal clerk or far-left attorney in an attempt to nuke the decision completely — and force an abortion rights fight in Congress, turning the midterm elections into a national referendum on abortion.

Josh Hawley agreed, telling Sean Hannity, “I believe this was clearly an attempt to change the outcome of this case and corrupt the process… Plainly meant to corrupt the process.”
