Some viewers of the 2020 Democrat National Convention were stunned when they saw uniformed service members appeared in the territory’s taped video for the DNC Roll Call nominating Joe Biden as the party’s nominee on Tuesday:
Um, yeah. A BIG problem. A violation DOD Directive 1344.10, Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces, and the Federal Hatch Act.
“Under DOD Directive 1344.10, members of the armed forces who are on active duty are permitted to express their personal opinions on political candidates, make a monetary contribution to a campaign, sign a petition to place a candidate’s name on the ballot, and attend a political event as a spectator. Members on active duty may not participate in partisan activities such as soliciting or engaging in partisan fundraiser activities, serving as the sponsor of a partisan club, or speaking before a partisan gathering. In addition, all military members, including National Guard and Reserve forces, are prohibited from wearing military uniforms at political campaign events.”
DNC officials gave a very odd “reason” for the violation with not one, but two military personnel:
The U.S. Army is NOT buying it, and has launched an investigation:
The Army is launching an investigation into the two uniformed personnel who were shown during the Democratic National Convention, the service said Wednesday.
During the second night of the convention, the soldiers appeared next to delegates from American Samoa during the state roll call, prompting questions about whether they violated military rules. The Department of Defense (DOD) forbids service members from appearing in uniform at political events.
The Army announced it will investigate the two service members, who are assigned to the 9th Mission Support Command, Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Emanuel Ortiz confirmed to The Hill.
“Wearing a uniform to a partisan political event like this is prohibited,” he said in a statement. “The Army follows the Department of Defense’s longstanding and well-defined policy regarding political campaigns and elections to avoid the perception of DOD sponsorship, approval or endorsement of any political candidate, campaign or cause.”
The DNC called it an “oversight”. The Army is calling B.S.
No one else was buying it either. Reportedly troops in all branches are regularly briefed on the rules.
That's 100% against the rules, we all know Democrats don't play by the rules

Yes, we do. But once they put the uniform on, they are US military service members, not democrats. They should know better. And the military usually has no tolerance for this kind of crap.

Article 15 for these 2 soldiers.

No federal employees are permitted to attend any political event in uniform. They have to be apolitical. @realDonaldTrump is STILL their commander and chief.
As usual, Democrats think the rules don’t apply to them.
